Land Trust hosts invasive plant tour and cleanup at Stiles Street parcel
On August 24th, volunteers joined the Milford Land Conservation Trust to learn about invasive plants and help clean up the Stiles Street parcel.
About 15 volunteers were in attendance, and helped remove invasive plants such as multiflora rose, oriental bittersweet, Japanese barberry, mugwort, and Norway maple. Volunteers and Land Trust members also got to see lots of wildlife, including birds and wood frogs.
The next invasive plant cleanup will be held at Nancy's Meadow on September 28th. Anyone interested in conservation in Milford is encouraged to learn more about the event and RSVP, either by email (firstname.lastname@example.org) or via the Facebook Event.
