Invasive plant cleanup at Nancy's Meadow scheduled for September 28th
Come help us protect a beautiful coastal meadow habitat in Milford! On September 28, 10 am to 12:30 pm, the Land Trust will be hosting an invasive plant education and cleanup day. After learning to identify some native and invasive plant species, we will get to work removing the invasive species so native plants and animals can thrive. This will be a great day to get outside, explore local flora and wildlife, and contribute to conservation in Milford.
We will meet at the Milford Land Conservation Trust's Nancy's Meadow property -- click here for the location on Google Maps.
Convenient street parking is available along 1st Ave, which borders the property.
All levels of experience are welcome -- botanists and Land Trust members will be present to guide you toward native plants to admire and invasive plants to destroy. We will provide trimming tools; please bring work/gardening gloves if you have them.
You can let us know you are coming by email, firstname.lastname@example.org, or via the Facebook Event page.
